The Mobile Roll Crusher produces dust-free, cubical fine product / sand by compression and shear between two counter-rotating rolls. It accepts 0-50 mm feed, delivers 0-10 mm product and works at 50-350 t/h. It is ideal for brittle, soft-to-medium materials such as coal, lime, potash and glass.
Working principle
Material caught by the nip angle between two rolls is broken by compression/shear, giving tight top-size control and minimum fines/dust. The rolls are manganese-alloy wear-resistant cast steel; smooth or toothed by feed size (two smooth for fine, one smooth-one toothed for medium, two toothed for coarse). Hydro-pneumatic protection against tramp iron and easy gap adjustment are standard.
Material and application
Coal, coke, glass, fertiliser, potash, salt, lime, limestone, soft ores and industrial minerals — especially where dust is unwanted. It also handles wet/sticky feed (a roll-crusher advantage). It is not suitable for very abrasive hard rock, where a jaw/cone is preferred. Typical double-roll reduction ~4:1; fines drop 15-20%; low energy (~0.8-1.2 kWh/t order).

S: What is it used for?
C: To make dust-free, cubical fine product from brittle/soft material.
S: Which materials?
C: Coal, lime, potash, glass, salt and industrial minerals.
S: How is the roll type chosen?
C: By feed size: two smooth rolls for fine, two toothed for coarse.
S: Is there tramp-iron protection?
C: Yes, hydro-pneumatic protection safeguards the rolls.
S: Does it crush hard abrasive rock?
C: No; a jaw/cone is preferred for hard, abrasive rock.
