GRUMA Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH is a family-owned company that has been operating from Friedberg near Augsburg, in the German state of Bavaria, since 1975. With more than 1,200 employees, over 500 technicians and 120 apprentices, it is one of the leading commercial vehicle and materials handling businesses in the Bavarian economic area. The company has two main divisions. The first is stacking and warehouse technology: as an authorised dealer for European market leader Linde Material Handling, GRUMA supplies forklifts, reach trucks, pallet trucks, order pickers, very narrow aisle stackers, side loaders and four-way trucks, telehandlers, electric tow tractors and platform trucks. This is complemented by attachments, aerial work platforms, explosion-protected vehicles and custom-built solutions. Warehouse racking, automation systems, energy systems comprising batteries and chargers, and fleet management all sit under the same roof. The second division is agricultural and municipal technology. Starting in the company's founding year with the Mercedes-Benz Unimog and MB-Trac franchise, this division today offers a broad range of agricultural machinery with Case IH and STEYR tractors and products from Krone, JCB, Fliegl, BvL, Pühringer and Unterreiner. On the municipal side it represents Bucher municipal, MULAG road maintenance equipment, Schmidt winter service technology, and SPRINGER and Dücker environmental and landscape maintenance machinery. GRUMA does more than sell: repair and maintenance, forklift tyre service, statutory inspections, spare parts supply, rental and subscription models, and used machine trading (GRUMA Young Reds) complete the range of services. Under the GRUMA Akademie banner the company runs an extensive certified training programme, from forklift and crane operator licences to aerial work platform, telehandler and earthmoving machinery certificates, occupational safety and dangerous goods instruction.
