Brewmarket GmbH, based in Freising in the German state of Bavaria, buys and sells used production equipment for the brewing, beverage and food industry. It has been active in this field for more than forty years; its former name was VBW Asset Trade Weihenstephan GmbH. The company was founded on the Weihenstephaner Berg, on the campus of the Technical University of Munich, and states that it maintains its connection to research and teaching at this centre of brewing and food technology. Its staff comes predominantly from brewing engineering but also covers the general beverage and food industries: mineral water, fruit juice, soda and dairy products. The range runs from single machines to complete production plants. On the production technology side there are brewhouse systems, fermentation and storage tanks, buffer and pressure tanks, CIP and cleaning systems, filtration and separation, fruit juice and wine pressing technology, milk processing and yeast management equipment. On the process engineering side: blending and mixing, fermenting and homogenizing, grinding, shredding and pressing, heating and cooling, pasteurization and sterilization, separating, filtering and sieving, dealcoholization, distillation and rectification, degassing and gassing equipment. In filling, packing and sorting: glass and PET bottle filling lines, can and keg filling, bottle cleaning and rinsing, capping and closure systems, labeling and dating, bottle inspection and sorting, palletizing and depalletizing, crate and pallet transport, packaging systems. To these are added operating and supply technology (compressed air, carbon dioxide and gas technology, cooling and heating supply, electricity and voltage technology, ventilation and air conditioning, water and waste water treatment), tanks, laboratory tools, forklifts and industrial trucks, micro breweries, and spare parts and individual components. Alongside buying and selling, the company provides a set of services: procurement and brokerage through its worldwide network; well-founded analyses to determine value and support investment decisions; complete handling of the logistical processes of dismantling, transport and reconstruction; modernisation and retrofitting by adapting existing plants to current technical standards; and overhaul and upgrading of machinery. It also offers recruitment and placement of specialists for technology, production and management.
