About Us
A. Foeth B.V. is a Dutch company that has been active in the purchase and sale of pre-owned process equipment since 1908. Today it is the largest dealer in Europe in this field, with more than 2,800 machines in stock at its premises in Barneveld, some 60 kilometres south-east of Amsterdam.
The company serves the specialty chemical, food, recycling and pharmaceutical industries worldwide with used and refurbished process machines from well-known manufacturers. The stock covers heat exchangers, mixers, tanks and stirring vessels, dryers, reactors, mills, filters, pumps, centrifuges, decanters, sieves and conveying systems.
It has operated its own workshop since its foundation, staffed by an extensive team of skilled process equipment engineers. Machines are cleaned and mechanically tested before shipment and, where required, completely refurbished. Reconditioning work includes replacing drive bearings and seals, glass-bead blasting stainless steel parts, spray painting steel parts and, where needed, remachining shafts and wear sleeves. After-sales support is provided, transport is arranged by the company and shipment is worldwide.
Sustainability is central to the business. New process machinery is made from raw stainless steel, a production route requiring a great deal of energy and carbon emissions. By the company's calculation, buying a refurbished machine instead of a new one avoids on average 4.43 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per 1,000 kilograms. Its carbon footprint has been analysed by an independent decarbonisation platform and the company has been recognised as a Climate Actor; it has committed to net-zero emissions in its own operations. By buying unused machines from its clients, it ensures those machines get a second life instead of being dismantled for scrap.
The company holds a rating 1 registration with Dun & Bradstreet, is an official partner of MVO Nederland and has featured in the FD Gazellen awards. Besides its Dutch headquarters it maintains contact points in Spain, France, Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Italy.
